Hi, we are Sergio and Laia and we go to the Sant Andreu school in Barcelona. We are 15 years old and we study 4th of ESO, the last year in the ESO. Sergio: In my free time I play foodball in a foodball team. My favourite team is F.C. Barcelona, I like house music, my favourite dj is David Guetta. I like meeting friends and I like animals and I have a dog. I don't go to Poland but when you come to Spain I will be with you. Laia: In my free time I like watching series on Internet like Gossip Girl or Skins. I like to going to the street or other places with friends. I like a lot of types of music. I listen to Rihanna, David Guetta, Iyaz, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Jason Derulo and other Spanish groups. I will go to Poland and I will welcome one of you in my house.

Eid ul-Adha

Feast of the Sacrifice is a religious festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide as a commemoration of Prophet Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ismael for God.It is one of two Eid festivals that Muslims celebrate.Like Eid ul-Fitr,Eid ul-Adha also begins with short prayer followed by a sermon.Eid ul-Adha is three days long and starts on the 10th day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah of the lunar Islamic calendar.This is the day after the pilgrims in Hajj,the annual pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia by Muslims worldwide,descend from Mount Arafat.It happens to be approximately 70 days after the end of the month of Ramadan.

Other names of Eid ul-Adha:

Eid ul-Adha is also known as Hari Raya Haji/Iduladha/Aidiladha/Qurbani/Qurban in Indonesia,Malaysia,the Philippines and Singapore;Eid el-Kbir in Morocco,Algeria,Tunusia,Egypt and Libya;Tfaska Tamoqqart in the Berber language of Jerba;and Tabaski or Tobaski in some parts of America;Babbar Sallah in Nigeria and West Africa;Ciidwayneey in Somalia and Somali speaking regions regions of Kenya and Ethiopia.In Turkey it is often referred to as the Kurban Bayramı or ''Sacrifice Feast''.Similarly,in Bosna and Herzegovina,Albania and Bulgaria it is referred as Kurban Bajram.Kazakhstan,it is referred to as Kurban Ait.

Turkish Wedding

Ceremonies are generally start on Tuesday and end on Thursday, or start on Friday and end on Sunday. Costs and expenses of wedding are met by the bridegroom’s family. Despite differences in accordance with various locations wedding may be classified mainly as planting a flag, women’s entertainment of the night next before the wedding day the bride’s fingers freshly tinged with henna (Kına Gecesi), fetching the bride, bride’s veil. Before the wedding as is done in the course of engagement ceremony invitation is distributed and everybody is invited for the wedding. While the bride’s family tries to complete preparations for trousseau, the bridegroom’s family tries to complete articles which required to be bought for the bride and which have been previously determined.

A wedding flag is planted by men coming from the noon prayer and friends of bridegroom at the bridegroom’s home. At some regions such thins as apple, onion, mirror, etc. are placed on top of the flag. Thus the wedding gets started.

Night Next Before The Wedding Day, A Women’s Entertainment Where Bride’s Fingers Are Freshly Tinged With Henna ( Kına Gecesi): This night in which the bride will be together with her family, relatives and friends all of which are women is just before the day of fetching bride as known the main wedding day. This night which is called “Kına Gecesi” is celebrated in the bride’s home. The bridegroom’s family and other guests are met and

hosted in the bride’s home. Usually dry henna brought by the bridegroom’s family is broken to pieces in a silver or cupper vessel by

a woman whose father and mother alive, not experienced any separation. After preparing the bride, veil

ornamented with red flake is placed over her head, and she is brought into the middle with accompaniment of hymn, folk songs about henna. Hands and feet of the bride are dyed with henna. The bridegroom’s side is under the obligation to put money in the hand of the bride. Dying ceremony of henna is different according to regions. The henna so dyed has such names and types as “iplik kınası” (henna for yarn), “sıvama” (smearing), “kuşgözü” (bird eye). After leaving woman who came together for dying henna close friend of the bride remain with her and enjoy themselves till morning. In some of our regions henna dying ceremony for bridegroom is also held in the bridegroom’s home.

Hi my name is Tomek and my hobby is football. And today (if you don't) is match which everybody call El Clasico( Barcelona- Real Madrid). They play on Camp Nou and I think Barcelona win. What is your expressions of the match?

Hi! My name is Dominica. I am sixteen years old. I live in Olsztynek (Olsztynek is a small city near to Olsztyn). I like watching movies, writing various stories, reading books, skiing and learning languages (especially spanish). I like all kinds of music. I'm learning playing guitar. I love travelling. I've been in Spain once and I love that country. I can't wait to that exchange and I hope that I will have a great time in Barcelona.

Tuesday morning was terrifying for the South Koreans.

North Korea attacked their northern border. They fired about 200 rockets at the South Korean island - Yeonpyeong. The victim answered fire with fire.

The accident didn't involve many people. 2 Korean soldiers died during the attack. But Yeonpyeong was damaged. Many houses were destroyed and the rockets started fires in the island.

As the S. Korean ministry said ''the attack was purposeful and planned. The shelling of Yeonpyeong was a clear breach of the ceasefire signed at the end of the war on the Korean Peninsula on the 27 July 1953''

The biggest countries in the world criticised the North Korean action.

But North Korea doesn't feel guilty. Pyongyang claimed that they were fired on by S Korean forces first.

But Seoul says that their fire was just an exercise. They said that they fired to the west, not to North.

So who was the attacker?

Hi! I'm Mireia.

I come from Catalonia. It's a country in Spain near France. To be more precise, I was born in Sitges, and I'll talk about this village.

Sitges is a small village in the Garraf region (Barcelona). In Catalonia, the culture is the same everywhear : the language, the people, the costoums, etc...

The weather in Sitges is very hot all year. In Sitges, there are many discos, and many tourists, because this village is in the Mediterranean sea, and it's beaches are really beautiful. In Sitges, people always eat paella or a variety of seafood when they go to a restaurant.

I love the people in Sitges, because you can see people from different cultures, different styles...but I love the people born in Sitges, because they have a different lifestyle than in Catalonia.

They celebrate two big parties : one is “Saint Bartomeu” and the other is “Santa Tecla”. There days people dance a dance called “Ball de Bastons” and they built human towers called “Castellers”. People in Sitges speak Catalan.

In Sitges, there are more monuments, a palace called “Maricel”, a museum about the history of Sitges and the church of “Bartalome and Santa Tecla”. It's a Christian church.

Now, the big companies want to build more hotels and houses and they intent to evict out the people of the village.

But I love my village!

Dazzle Dark

Hello ! We are Soniita and Ainoita but our really names are Sonia and Ainoa. Sonia is almost 16 years old and Ainoa is 15 years old. We are friends from 13 years ago and always he had been in the same class. We are true friends. We have a lot of things in common for example we like the same music: house, rap, flamenco... Also we like dancing, Sonia dance in a dance school for 3 years ago and Ainoa only practise in her house. We were in Poland togheter 2 years ago and we like it so much for this reason we will repite this year. The last year our class went to London. We want meet other people and make real friends. I love playing big parts shows and watching Disney  old movies. But especially I love traveling. Every summer I am in different places. i've been in Barcelona 3times, and i can say, that I LOVE this place. I'm spontaneity, dutifulness and comradeship person. I hope we can find out about each other, meet other culture, learn new language(i love to hear spanish accent, spanish words and everything what spanish is) and make frienship for a long time.

Catalonia

I'm going to explain a little bit about Catalonia.

Catalonia is a little country in Spain, in the South of Europe.

It is small compared to other countries of our continent but it is very special because it's my country.

It has a lot of beautiful beaches we have "La costa daurada" and "La costa brava", that are very visited places. The beaches are important but, also, we have a lot of mountains like Montserrat that has a very long history and the Pirineus too.

There are a lot of sights like Sagrada Familia, which is famous around the world, Parc Güell and other buildings by Gaudí.

In Catalonia, there are people from different cultures, the majority of them are Catholic but also, there are Jews, Muslim people.. Catalan people aren't very racist.

Catalonia has a lot of celebrations that haven't got the rest of Spanish people like Sant Jordi, La Mercè..

I love my country.

Hello everyone, my name's Peter and I'm from Olsztyn. I like playing guitar, watching Formula One races and football matches. My beloved team is FC Barcelona with the incredibles - Lionel Messi and David Villa. My favourite type of music is heavy metal. I love bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath. I also like playing volleyball with my mates. We really have a great time during these matches. There's always a lot of fun.
